Zen Meditation at Gather Wellness Studio
The Buddha realised that human suffering is created. Seated meditation - zazen - helps us to see this truth. But first we have to come to rest, take our seat in stillness and silence.
Free Weekly Class | Starts This Week
You’re invited to a free Zen Meditation class held weekly at Gather Wellness Studio, beginning this week on Tuesdays from 7:00–7:30pm.
Everyone is welcome, whether you’re brand new to meditation or have an established practice.
What is Zen Meditation?
Zen meditation (often called zazen) is a simple, grounded practice of seated meditation. Rather than trying to relax or “empty the mind,” Zen invites us to sit just as we are, aware of the breath, the body, and the present moment. Over time, this practice cultivates clarity, steadiness, and a deeper sense of connection to everyday life.
This class will offer:
Gentle guidance into seated meditation
Foundational breath awareness techniques
Options for different seated postures (chairs, bolsters or floor sitting)
A calm, supportive environment for practice
