This two-day immersion delves into the core teachings of the sage Patañjali, providing you with practical tools to identify and navigate the obstacles that inevitably arise in both your yoga practice and daily life.

Through gentle movement, thoughtful reflection, breathwork, and meditation, we will explore nine common hindrances that can cloud the mind with self-doubt and overwhelm. You will learn timeless techniques to quiet the mental chatter and reconnect with your inner balance.

This immersion is designed for yoga teachers who wish to enrich their understanding beyond the physical aspects of yoga, dedicated students seeking to deepen their personal journey, and anyone intrigued by the practical application of yoga philosophy.

Day 1 l Session 1: Mapping the Inner Landscape

We will begin by introducing the nine common obstacles which can be physical, mental, and emotional roadblocks. We examine how they manifest in our lives. A guided reflection will help you identify your own patterns and tendencies. The yoga practice for this session will be a gentle, grounding flow focused on cultivating awareness of both resistance and ease.

Day 1 l Session 2: How Obstacles Show Up in Daily Life

This session will start with a group discussion exploring how distraction, doubt, and overwhelm influence our habits and choices. Through journaling prompts, you will consider questions such as: When do you feel most steady? When does doubt arise for you? The accompanying yoga practice will include simple breath techniques to help calm inner restlessness.

Day 2 l Session 3: Tools for Everyday Steadiness

We will introduce and explore practices and additional tools from the Yoga Sūtra that support mental and emotional wellbeing. A guided practice will invite stillness through breath and focused awareness.
